Hello, people!

I am still alive, just very busy with work, unfortunately. But life is going well, I have a nice job, a snuggly boyfriend/fiance and v nice friends (rl and online) :D

Due to having less time I'm having to remove some people from my friendslist. It's not personal and it's mainly people I haven't had time to get to know yet. I may add you back later though.

I just discovered something, which is probably well-known to all the US people on my list, but made my jaw drop.

Corporal punishment is still legal in schools in the US.

All I could think of was "That's so fucking uncivilised". I don't just think it's very wrong, it just seems like such an out-dated way of dealing with children.

I'm not sure how I feel about corporal punishment in the home. My parents smacked me sometimes. But definitely, a complete stranger should never have the right to do that to a kid.
